Essential

• Programming languages –C++ & C

• Linux Networking stack

• Different application protocols like HTTP/S, SSL/TLS etc

• TCP/IP Networking protocols understanding, Socket programming

• Atleast 1 yr experience in cloud based application design & development (AWS)

• Unit testing, Integration testing for open-source component changes as well as home grown components

• Technical training or coaching of colleagues

• Propose and drive the adoption of new designs across the department

• Be an escalation point for technical issues

Desirable

• Basic Perl, Basic Java, Knowledgeable in at least one scripting language
• ClouldNetfilter modules, NATing concepts, Multipath Routing
• Working experience on Netfilter, IPTables, Conntrack (Connection tracking)
• Agile software development methodologies experience
