Roles and Responsibilities

Identify, develop, evaluate, introduce, and manage engineering solutions for product control and control system technology needs. Apply control theory and mathematical modeling to design and control systems with desired behaviors. Includes operability,setting of boundaries, cycle optimization, control logic, control related software, sensors, hardware and software algorithms, and feedback to control the performance of devices, subsystems and systems. System modeling / Plant modeling of vehicle, Powertrain, E-Drive, BMS, Braking and other important systems in matlab, simulink and stateflow Integration of models and perform Vehicle level simulation andanalysis First principle based plant modeling of Powertrain/E-Drive components and thermal modelling for performance simulation and testing Exposure in Powertrain/E-Drive controllers like BMS controller, Motor controller, charging controllers, cooling control etc, for performance analysisfrom electrical and thermal aspects in MATLAB/Simulink environment Develop control algorithms and various control strategies for electric Vehicle using model based methods. Plan and performvehicle control algorithmdevelopment,testing/verification on dynamometer facility, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) or software-in-the-loop (SIL)systems. Understanding of Series Software development methods and toolslike: Fixed point coding, Target link data dictionary, Software in Loop, Hardware in Loopsystems. System, &vehicle-level validation plans/procedures for HW and SW including MIL/SIL/HIL simulation and/or bench/vehicle testing as applicable, Ensure system design practicesincorporate processimprovementsto align with Functional Safety goals/standards (May include leading/participating in Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments (HARA), Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA), and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), etc.) Maintains controller development project plans and/orsupports projects engineersin doing so May perform calibration of certain controller diagnostics and communicationsfeatures Optimizes controller design and managesre-use to serve multiple product lines and functionality requirements with the shortest design cycle timespossible
