Roles and Responsibilities

A leading Automotive OEM is looking for candidates for the role of Lead Engineer - Human Machine Interface. The candidate will design, analyze and validate analog circuits, controllers and sensors for Vehicle Electronics application


Location: Pune


Experience: 5-10 years


Qualification: BB.E/ B Tech or ME/M -Tech in Electrical or Electric Machines (From Top Ranked College)


Responsibilities

  • Design vehicle electronic systems and parts like Instrument Cluster , Infotainment System etc. as per performance/ quality/ cost/ weight targets and plants manufacturing requirement
  • Complete design of electronics circuit, PCB layout, packaging and material selection for the above parts
  • Layout and packaging of parts in vehicle DMU considering all aspects of functionality and manufacturability
  • Conduct Design Review, FMEA (system/ design) and apply all such tools in the design phase
  • Define performance and reliability test parameters, procedures for such parts
  • Keep track of global trends in relevant technology, regulations and develop long term road maps and appropriate work plan
  • Benchmarking and generation of ideas for better performance, quality, cost, weight
  • Define the overall activity schedule for all projects, monitor the same periodically and take appropriate action to ensure targeted deliveries
  • To follow Product Life Management and Version control system


Desired Candidate Profile

Desired Profile & Competency
  • Proficient in CAD tools for 3D modeling and assembly tool, Familiar with all tools for electronics circuit design, PCB layout/routing, simulation for circuits (Altium/LT Spice/ Pspice/ SI Metrix), thermal/ EMI/EMC aspects and CAD tool, preferably Unigraphics
  • Thorough in basic theories and design concepts in electronics
  • Thorough in basic theories and design concepts in electronics such as all passive components (R, L, C), Microcontrollers, OPAMPs, power supplies (linear and switching), BJT's, MOSFET's, SCR, etc. 
  • Thorough knowledge of microcontroller selection parameters, CAN architecture and CAN dbc generation/diagnostics/cdd files         
  • Expertise in design and requirement handling for instrument clusters with practical knowledge of considerations in HMI features. Fundamental understanding for Bluetooth connectivity, knowledge of homologation and regulatory requirements for the instrument cluster and other infotainment devices    
  • Strong analytical skills and working experience on different analyses such as worst case, Monte Carlo, tolerance stack up, power dissipation, stress, etc.
