Essential Skills

• experience of leading a development team following the agile methodology

• strong background in designing & implementing Java services for data ingestion and aggregation

• good understanding of frameworks such as Spring Cloud Data Flow, Spring Integration, Spring Batch, etc.

• ability to lead the development of high quality end user applications, ideally using React

• strong belief in adopting Continuous Integration best practices and test automation

Desirable Skills

• experience of using Docker and Kubernetes is highly desirable

• knowledge of data processing frameworks such as Flink, Spark, Airflow is desirable

• familiarity with Python is advantegaous

• any AWS certifications are advantegaous

More genrally this role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

• Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines

• Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems

• Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages

• Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices

• Keen understanding of financial control and budget management

• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals

• Passionate about building an innovative culture
